Do you sign off your emails? What do you end with? “Best,” “Regards,” or “Sincerely”? The Career Contessa offers some suggestions if you want to change it up a little.

The way we end an email can encapsulate the tone of what we just wrote, and project what we want to happen next. A complimentary closure such as “Stay tuned…” indicates more to come. “And that’s the way it is,” comes off more final, (and kind of terse). “Cheers!” is more casual and friendly.

Having a few closures in your pocket can help keep your email communication fresh, while still being polite and professional. How do you sign off?
